To steam, or not to steam: Metro Furniture Show wants to help you answer this question when purchasing your next washer & dryer. You may be wondering how applying something that causes moisture can actually dry at the same time. Although this may sound illogical, scientists have worked on methods of using steam for drying clothes that function with higher performance than mere heat-generating dryers.

Another useful tip is understanding the proper size for your laundry load. Many people simply guess and usually over guess the size. In other words, it was discovered that most people used a water level too high for the load being washed. A good idea is to lift the lid or stand and watch as it fills to see the water level once it stops filling. Your water level should only be a couple of inches above your laundry. Don't go too low either; this will not clean them properly.
